Temper is a leading Dutch platform that connects freelance professionals with shift-based work opportunities across various sectors.
In 2023, the company opened a French subsidiary to expand its European presence.
To ensure a successful market entry and full legal compliance, Temper entrusted HReact with complete HR responsibility, from creation to closure.
Temper’s French expansion required a dual-phase HR strategy:
-Initial HR setup: ensure full legal compliance under French labor law
-Operational HR support: handle day-to-day HR queries and payroll
-Closure: conduct a collective economic dismissal during the entity’s shutdown - legally and ethically
Full HR compliance
ensured from day one
Phase1 - Subsidiary Creation & HR Implementation
HReact provided a turnkey HR setup to ensure full compliance:
-Drafting of French employment contracts

When the parent company decided to shut down operations in France, HReact led the full collective layoff process in accordance with local regulations:
-Guidance for the Dutch HRBP on French legal requirements (dismissals, timelines, documentation)
-Presentation of legal scenario options and financial simulations based on various closure dates
-Preparation and secure execution of the dismissal process for 5 employees
-Direct communication with affected employees, providing clarity, emotional support, and legal transparency
8 employees successfully onboarded
(CDI + interns)
5 dismissals handled with legal accuracy and human care
Success was driven by a combination of strategic expertise and people-centered execution, including:
-One single point of contact for the Dutch HRBP, facilitating cross-border collaboration
